About
I was born in 1996 in Germany and I'm a native German speaker. I also speak English. I started coding when I was around 10-12 (VB.Net, HTML, Batch, etc.), so tech and programming have been my world for basically forever. PHP has always been my go-to language, usually paired with MySQL/MariaDB. I've focused a lot on Symfony and I'm currently exploring and mastering Laravel, plus recently diving into Alpine.js and Livewire.
I love challenges and I enjoy going deep into clean code, clean architecture, and design patterns. My real thing is combining those concepts with pragmatic approaches, not just theory for the sake of it. I also have solid experience in hosting and cloud, including AWS, with Hetzner being my main provider, which I'm genuinely very happy with.
Professionally, I started out as a retail sales clerk ("Einzelhandelskaufmann") and did my vocational training ("Ausbildung") at another company. Later I switched into tech as a career changer ("Quereinsteiger") and joined chargecloud GmbH. I started as a Junior Developer, moved to Medior, then Senior, and now I'm Tech Lead. My job is pushing the company toward stable and future-proof architecture, mentoring people, and driving the main technical initiatives.
On top of that, I've run a successful niche game server hosting business, did multiple freelance projects, and today I run dopo.dev, a small Germany-focused freelance business. I'm also working on a few side projects that are still early stage, and I'm always open to new challenges and opportunities.
Outside of work, I love traveling and just being on the road with our camping caravan, sharing adventures with my wife, daughter, our dog, and a few cats. Turning ideas into real results and tackling challenges head-on is what drives me, whether in code or in life.
